Course Content
1. The Opening screen; defining a web site; creating a first web page; saving a web page; adding images; adding text in code view; aligning items; modifying page properties; formatting text; creating text links; setting document titles.
2. Creating new folders in a site; creating and linking to a New CSS Style Sheet; redefining CSS style rules for the HTML body tag and the HTML H1, H2 and H3 tags; creating and applying a number of new CSS style classes to text.
3. Creating and positioning named DIV tags on pages with rules; embedding and layering DIVs within or over each other; changing the appearance of a DIVs borders padding and background colours and images; applying text styles to a DIV tag area; controlling the positioning of elements using just one stylesheet.
4. Finding and inserting images using the assets panel; inserting images into DIV tag areas; using images and links to create the main navigation in a site; creating an image hotspot to link to another page; creating a table to arrange menu buttons; creating a menu of images linked to other site pages.
5. Intricate content with tables; registration forms, navigation jump menus; javascript rollovers.
6. Importing text from a text file; applying styles to text; numbered lists; images in text blocks; e-mail text links, meta tags for description and keywords; special text characters; template pages; layout tables.
7. Importing and reformating data from Microsoft Excel; inserting and linking anchors; bulleted lists of text links; creatding new browser windows; creating and saving frames; organising and saving frames within a frameset; target links from one frame to another; displaying an Office document and PDF in a web site; contact forms, validating fields in forms with behaviours.
