1.  Introduction to civil litigation; the sheriff court; the court of session; summary and ordinary cause; instruction form; letter before action.
2.  Summary cause summons; completing and warranting the summons.
3.  Certificate of execution of service.
4.  The initial write; the defences; the record.
5.  The court of session; instructing counsel; the motion.
